Welcome to the Tiger Regiment Site

The Tiger Regiment includes the Band (marching, wind, symphonic), Jazz Bands (I and II), Colorguard and Drumline. In the fall semester, the Tiger Regiment can be found marching outdoors doing field shows and parades. During the spring season, the Regiment forms Winterguard, Drumline Jazz and various concert band groups. Each requires additional auditions and attends competitive events throughout the season.

At this site, you will find updates and information on all the before mentioned groups because we are all part of the GREAT TIGER REGIMENT.

The calendar link on this home page contains the latest information regarding the upcoming season. We’d just like to highlight the most important ones below:

Cowchip Bingo Update

Our first Cowchip Bingo event was held on a very HOT Sunday, April 13. Thanks to all who joined us to set and watch the event. When nature calls, it’s difficult to say whether it will take 20 minutes or 4 hours. Well, it may have been the heat, but the cows couldn’t wait to show us the winners! In a record 10 minutes, we had the following winners:

Place Winner Student Winner
First Plop Langenwalter Family Kaylie Langenwalter
Second Plop Monique Langenwalter & Cathy Azama Kaylie Langenwalter & Eric Azama
Third Plop Mike Scott Kevin Higashida

Congratulations to the winners and a big THANK YOU to all who sold tickets to this crazy event.

United Scrips Update

You still have until May 12 (last day) to order from the United Scrips Program. For those who are planning to be part of the Band program next year, it's an excellent way to continue to fund your account until this date. Great time to purchase teacher's end of the year gifts, graduation gifts or just to stock up for the summer. The proceeds of the retail and gas purchases go to individual accounts, while all grocery purchases go to the general fund.

Click here to download your order form and start your shopping plans today! But you need to plan ahead – standard weekly orders are due by 2:00pm each Monday. Allow 8 - 10 days for delivery. If we don't get enough orders to cover postage fees by the deadline date, we will contact you regarding any delays for your order.

Valencia HS Guest Artist Event

The Jazz Guest Artist Event is moving to a different date, to be announced in the near future. Check back with us later about this event.

End of the Year Concerts and Events

Please be sure to check the online calendar for the many upcoming end-of-the-year events (month of May) for both Band and Guard. You won’t want to miss this last chance to see all our wonderful student performances.

Band Banquet

This year’s Band Banquet is being held on June 5th at the Yorba Linda Community Center. Banquest Chair, Mary Weddle is looking for volunteers to help plan and coordinate this important event. Please contact us at vipboosters@yahoo.com if you are available to assist us. We look forward to seeing everyone there! More details to come.

Attention All Photo Hounds

Fond memories of the days in the Tiger Regiment mean the world to us so we’d like to ask any parents who attend the events and take digital photos to share them with us so we can make sure they are included in the annual Tiger Regiment Photo and DVD collection. We especially want to make sure photos of Colorguard, Drumline and Jazz are included in this collection.

Please copy your images onto a CD and mark it “TR Photos – Attn: Jason Caffrey” and drop it off with our Director. He will make sure it gets to the Caffreys who have generously offered to assist us with this project again this year.

An important note regarding the use of the website calendar:

If you are experiencing connection problems with our calendar, please try the following options:

Try http://my.calendars.net/vhstr_calendar and/or refreshing the page (hold down Shift and click the Refresh button in your browser)

Use right mouse button to click on calendar and select one of the “open link” options. If this works, you will need to use this same method to open detail pop-ups on event names within calendar.

Within the calendar, try the “List” option in the medium blue navigational bar at the top of the calendar page and you will get a listing with details displayed – no need for further pop-up links.
