Drumline
The Valencia High School Percussion Ensemble participates with the entire Tiger Regiment at all field competitions, parades, football games and concerts. A separate percussion class is required during 1st period. Percussion practice is held weekly and sectionals are also highly advised and recommended.
VHS Percussion students also have the option of participating with the VHS Indoor Percussion Ensemble during second semester. Participating with this group requires both local and long distance travel. There is a separate pledge for this option which also requires fundraising. Parent participation is needed at all competitions to help move equipment.
This class functions as a combined marching and concert percussion ensemble, which performs with the marching band in the fall semester. In the spring, the Valencia Percussion Ensemble participates in local and regional competitions. Extra rehearsals and possible overnight trips are required for this group.
