Fall Marching Season
Band Camp
The letter below provides an outline of the 2011 Summer Band Camp schedule, activities, recommendations and requirements. Please be sure to review it in preparation for the season.
Uniforms
Prior to the start of the season, Tiger Regiment Students will be fitted for a uniform and shako (hat). In addition to this school furnished uniform, students need to provide the following personal items:
| Black Dinkles Vanguard shoe | Long black socks | Bobby pins and ponytail holders for long hair | Skull cap for shoulder length hair |
| Spare instrument supplies in case | Street t-shirt (to be issued) | PE type shorts (no street clothes) | Wearable items should be cleaned after each use |
All students who need to order Dinkles Marching Shoesneed to turn in completed order form and payment during their uniform fitting appointment the week before band camp (See Calendar). Click on link below to download order form.
Should you miss the start of school group shoe order, black Dinkles Vanguard shoe can be ordered directly from www.marchingworld.com. Please mention that you are part of the Valencia High School Marching Band in Placentia, CA to make sure you get the right shoe.
Student Information Form
Though most communication is provided through the Director during instructional or rehearsal time, when needed this form provides us the information on how to contact students and parents to advise of unexpected changes to schedules, updates to activities and special notices. All participants are asked to provide this completed form to ensure you do not miss any important updates.
Field Trip Permission Forms
All students are transported to events via District bus throughout the school year. A completed district mandated permission form is required of each participant. Students will not be able to board the bus without it on file with the Director. It also provides important emergency contact information in the event it is needed to treat your student.
Required Program Forms
Due to the physical nature of the marching portion of our program, all students are required to complete the Athletic/Auxilary Insurance Certificate Form regarding insurance coverage, as well as the PYLUSD Sports Pre-Participation Physical Form, which requires a visit to a physician. These forms must be on file with the Director at the start of the season.
Additionally, all participating students and parents must review the Participation Agreement form and submit signed copy by end of band camp. The Participation Agreement represents the standards of operation for Tiger Regiment members. All questions regarding this form should be directed to Director Richard King.

- PYLUSD Sports Pre-Participation Physical Form (English) 2011
We ask students and parents to complete the registration form as drivers for events where we need to arrange for private transporation. Parents will be alerted to these situations as they arise and prior to each event. These forms are required even if you transport your own student or the student drives on their own.
