Band Packet and Sports Physical
At the last parent meeting, we asked each parent of an incoming and returning Tiger Regiment student to complete a band packet. If you didn’t get one or need a new packet, please have your student pick one up from the band room. Just ask Rudy or Mr. King for one.
Important Reminder for Your Sports Physical:
One of the forms that needs to be completed is a sports physical performed by a physician. These are required for anyone participating in the Tiger Regiment this fall and needs to be completed before band camp this summer. Download a blank sports physical form here.
For your convenience, Valencia is hosting a one-day opportunity to get your sports physical completed. It will be on Wednesday May 25 from
3-6pm 4-7pm* at the Valencia HS Gym. The cost will be $35 and checks will need to be made out to Valencia Athletics.
*Update – the time we originally put was wrong. We apologize for the inconvenience.
End of Year Banquet & Awards Night – May 26 6PM
We will be celebrating our 2021-2022 Tiger Regiment at the end-of-year Band Banquet and Awards Ceremony, held at Placentia Presbyterian Church Key Center, just across the street from the school. Come enjoy a fully catered banquet where we will hand out a number of awards, including the Pete Perez Memorial Scholarship, and announce next year’s student leadership team. This is also our final opportunity to celebrate our seniors before they graduate!
Tickets are $20 per person. Please place your ticket order here.
You can pay ahead of time electronically via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle (instructions are on the website here). Or you can pay via cash or check putting it in the Black Box in Mr. King’s office. For any payment, be sure to add a note indicating the student’s name and number of tickets it covers.
Music in the Parks – May 21 and June 4
Two more Music in the Parks events are left for us to host. This has been a great fundraiser for the program and we appreciate all who’ve been able to help.
We could use the help of a couple more parents for each of the remaining weekends (though we’ll be happy to have more!). The times are roughly 7:30am to 2pm, though these are dependent on the number of bands we’re hosting. If you’re interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know.
There is also a need for student helpers. Please encourage your students to volunteer and earn community service hours. There will be sign up sheets in the band room.
