Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We have a few recaps and a few updates to share below.

SCSBOA 4A Championships Recap

Thank you to everyone who made it out to support the Tiger Regiment on November 20. They placed 5th overall in the 4A division and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone’s hard work over the past several months.

The performance is available on our YouTube channel here. Share it with your family and friends! It has also been added to the Desperado page on our website so you can see the evolution from the first show at the Valencia Field Tournament to Championships!

Senior Circle and Senior Run Recap

This is always such a fun tradition to celebrate our senior’s on the day of Championships. We’re thankful to all the parents who helped put this together. Below are some pictures from the event.

In addition, the last rehearsal includes the Senior Run where all the seniors go to the stands and watch the rest of the students perform the field show for them. Watch the Senior Run from our YouTube channel below.

Holiday Wreath Orders are Available for Pickup!

A text went out to everyone alerting you that you can pick up your wreath orders now. Thank you to everyone who picked up their order today. If you didn’t get a chance to do that, contact Gaby at the number in that text or email her at gruvalcaba@me.com to arrange a pick up.

Please try to pick up your order by Wednesday December 1 in order to ensure everyone receives a fresh wreath.

NO Parent Meeting Tomorrow

We’ve postponed our parent meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday November 30. Next parent meeting is TBD. Stay tuned for updates.

Marching Season is Over – What’s Next??

The Tiger Regiment will now split into different sections, most of which will have a competition season for the winter/spring. These include:

  • Winter Guard
  • Drumline
  • Jazz

Each of these sections will have an additional budget and family donation amount for the winter/spring season. The booster vice president for each group will be in contact with parents when finalized.

Those not in one of these sections will be a part of the Concert Band and will be performing several concerts throughout the rest of the school year. The first of which will be the Winter Concert on December 16. Details coming soon. Students will need to make sure they have “concert black attire” – black dress shirt, black slacks, below the knee skirt or dress, black socks/shoes (your Dinkles are acceptable).

Family Donations Update

It’s not too late to turn in contributions to finish the $600 marching season family donation. We will be closing out the Fall season accounts and want to make sure you get your last minute contributions in.

As stated above, each of the sections listed will have a winter/spring budget that includes a new family donation for that section. We are looking to present those budgets before winter break.

Each section will be sure to include various fundraising opportunities to help offset the family donations, similar to what was done for the fall marching season. Your section booster VP will alert you when those are made available and we will try to include those on the Fundraising page of the tigerregiment.org website.

An additional way to offset the family donation is through the Adopt-A-Tiger program. This is a simple way to ask family and friends to support you in the Tiger Regiment program. Click here to open and download the Adopt-a-Tiger letter.  Personalize it, make copies, and send to family and friends over the holidays! You’ll be surprised at how many are willing to donate when asked and 100% of these donations will go toward your family donation account!
