We have a lot to update today; upcoming events, show recaps, and new fundraising opportunities, grab a snack and settle in!
Saturday 11/06 – There is no show this weekend, but we will still have Field Rehearsal 1pm-9pm.
Band Pageant – Wednesday 11/10
Band Pageant is a great opportunity to come out and support not only our Tiger Regiment, but all of the middle and high school bands from the district! Come out to Bradford Stadium at VHS on Wednesday for a great show! The festivities will run 7pm-9pm. Student call time will be shared when determined.
Tickets are $5 and required for entry. All students were given an initial 5 tickets to sell. If you did not receive those or you need more tickets please talk to Mr. King. The sales from these tickets go directly to your Student/Family donation account.
We will be providing the concessions this year and are looking for Parent Volunteers to help run the stands. Please email Bianca at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
The school administration would like us to remind all parents that students should not be dropped off by the band room in the morning or picked up there after school on school days. During school hours that area is staff parking only. Please drop off students at the Bradford gate or in front of the school. After hours and weekend drop off/pickup for rehearsals, shows, etc. is ok.
Senior Circle – Saturday 11/20
We’d like to continue the tradition of celebrating our Seniors on Championships day, 11/20. Traditionally senior families fund the event to provide a meal and gift to the seniors and the underclassmen perform the Desperado music for them. We are looking for parents of seniors to join a planning committee for the event. Please contact Bianca at email@example.com to join.

The Whole Enchilada – Thursday 11/11
We will have a restaurant fundraiser at The Whole Enchilada ALL DAY (11am-10pm) on Thursday, 11/11. They are located at 106 Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia CA 92870, just up the street from the school. Show the flyer below to ensure your check is credited to us. Tell your family and friends to come out for a delicious meal to support our Tiger Regiment! Click here to share on social media.
Order forms and flyers have been passed out to students. There are more in the band room if needed. Orders are due Monday, 11/15. Please turn in one check for all of your sales, made out to VIP. 100% of the proceeds from each sale will go to your Student/Family donation account. Candy will be delivered to your student in the band room on Thursday, 11/18. If you have any questions please contact Tara Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Holiday Wreath Fundraiser -Updated
This is the final week for wreath sales! This is a great way to support the program and your family donation. Go to the Fundraising Opportunities section of our website for details.
The wreaths are $25 each and while the proceeds from the first order will go towards the Tiger Regiment program, proceeds from all other orders will go direct to the student’s family donation. You can use the order form to collect orders or they can also be placed online at https://sherwoodfundraiser.com/VHSTigerRegiment. It’s important that the buyer specifies the Regiment member in order for them to get credit for the sale. Note: payment cannot be made directly in the online order system. Once the order is placed, payment needs to be made separately to Valencia Instrumental Parents via any of our available payment methods: cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal. Orders/payment can be dropped off at the band room and put in the black box. Be sure to indicate the student’s name and wreath order ID number if available.
Turn in all order forms and payment as soon as possible. All orders are due November 8, 2021 and will be delivered to the Tiger Regiment representative the first week of December.
Family Donations Update
We appreciate everyone who has been able to donate to the program for the fall marching season. The $600 suggested family donation is due by the end of this month to help cover the end of season expenses.
Statements were sent out to families last month. The plan is to get October statements out by the end of this week. If you haven’t received anything, please email our treasurer, JC, at email@example.com. Be sure to include your name and your student’s name so she can match up the account and get you a current statement. There are a couple of fundraiser profits that are in the process of being added to student’s accounts, such as pancake breakfast tickets and raffle tickets sales. Reach out to JC with any questions.
We have several ways to submit your family donations including Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or P.O. Box. Instructions for all of these are located on the fundraising page of our website.
In addition, keep in mind that there are a few ways to offset the $600 family donation we’re asking for the fall marching season (all of which are on our Fundraising page)
- Band Pageant Tickets – $5 goes towards your family donation for each ticket sold.
- See’s Candies – 100% of the proceeds for each sale goes towards your family donation.
- Holiday Wreaths – the first order will go towards the program. All other wreaths sold will contribute about $8 each towards your family donation
- Adopt-a-Tiger – send donation letters to friends, family and even businesses who can donate towards your family donation. Details are on the Fundraising page.
Please note: Your student will not be denied participation in the program nor singled out due to any inability to make donations. It is our hope that if you can donate to the program, you will. Check our fundraising page often as we will make every effort to list as many opportunities for fundraising as we can.
