There’s a lot of great things happening with the Tiger Regiment…and we’re just getting started!

The students have been working hard recently through band camp, providing school spirit during football games and learning the field show. But this is just the beginning! We have the Heritage Parade on October 9 and our first official field show tournament of the season hosted right here at Valencia on October 16. None of this would be possible without our great instructors, field show writers and choreographers, and so much more!

At past parent meetings, we’ve discussed how each family is asked to make a $600 per student donation for the fall marching season. Thank you to those who have already donated a part or all of that. Unfortunately, the district does not fund band activities. This means the entire program can only be funded by parents and associated fundraising activities. We are working hard finding ways to support the budget through fundraising. But we are still needing families to donate towards this season. This will also cover coaching costs from this summer (including sectionals, band camp, etc). We will be presenting the final budget at our next parent meeting which is on September 21st.

Unfortunately, we are currently underfunded and need your help. You do not need to make the entire $600 payment all at once. It can be made in smaller payments. We have several convenient ways to submit your family donations including Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or P.O. Box. Instructions for all of these are located on the fundraising page of our website here.

Please note: Your student will not be denied participation in the program nor singled out due to any inability to make donations. It is our hope that if you can donate to the program, you will. Check our fundraising page often as we will make every effort to list as many opportunities for fundraising as we can.

We encourage you to also make use of the Adopt-a-Tiger program where you can send a personalized letter to people you know asking them to support the program. Those donations will go directly into your student’s donation account. Download the form here and send as many as you can!

Windbreaker Order Forms Due by Tuesday September 14

Take advantage of the opportunity to get a Tiger Regiment windbreaker jacket for your student! You can also personalize it with their name and graduation year.

Order forms should be returned to the mail slot in the door of the uniform room with the payment attached (if using check or cash) by Tuesday, September 14.
